Product suggestions when typing in product search (predictive search)

This has become a standard feature in ecommerce websites and I think it will be useful in persuading potential customers to use our platform over other, larger ones with this functionality included.

From a UX point of view, if done properly, predictive search drastically helps the user get where they need to be what they want a lot more quickly, in a lot less clicks, increasing the chances of a conversion. Users of client’s websites that have a large product catalogue would benefit from this, instead of searching through a large product tree.

This will require some planning and designing as I think it should have different modes / options (and handle smaller devices too) but I think this would add a lot to our offering for our ecommerce solution.
