Product Suggestions
Whilst looking in to other cloud platform providers, I found a great looking service from Quickbooks. One of the concerns for new customers will be the migration of their customer data from their existing CRM system.
As a result, I think it would be great if we could:
a) Standardise & simplify basic Data Imports as much as possible like SalesForce do (https://www.salesforce.com/blog/2013/01/new-video-series-data-import.html).
b) Offer a packaged service for the migration of data from other well known systems, a bit like Quickbooks offer (http://www.intuit.co.uk/quickbooks-accounting-software/switch-to-quickbooks/).
It appears the latter may use a 3rd party to assist them with this, but the documentation and instructions surrounding this gave me a lot of confidence that they would know what they are doing and it is the norm for customers to migrate from another platform to Quickbooks.
This is a great idea and one we already have a bit of a plan for. The plan with the Data Importer is to have standardised templates and other "Source Connection Types" to allow easy migration from 3rd party systems.
