A customer would find it useful to see the created date &/or the record ID within the global search results. This customer will have multiple quotes/opportunities as they go out to tender & have to provide duplicate quotes. Therefore it would help them to find the right record by seeing the created date or record ID within the global search.
We tend to hide IDs so it's unlikely we'd action this. Can you an email of two similar opportunities that cannot be distinguished by their descriptions; it's possible the descriptions need structured more appropriately to allow that distinction.
