In the latest release, v81, the new-style report groups are now mainstream (out of preview). In these report groups the "Search" list is in alphabetical order (as well as being searcheable).
But, also, under "more reports" there is also a new "All Reports" group that allows you to see all reports alphabetically, and/or search through all the reports without having to know which report group they were originally created in.
