Lessen Pipeline activity shown on notes.

When you have a pipeline that as a number of steps (say 5 steps) and you start the opportunity at step 4 perhaps, why would you need to see the previous steps on the activity pad? as it only bogs down the activity pad and also gives the impression that certain steps have been actioned or followed when they haven't.
