A temporary fix for this is to create your own custom report in the CRM for Quote records and filter by card transaction date 'is set' and status 'is confirmed order' then add quote ref, card transaction reference, sales ledger ID etc. fields as required. A bit cumbersome but it's useful for looking up the card reference from Stripe.
I agree with Dave, the number of transactions we deal with, make the quote number a vital integration necessity between the CRM and Stripe. Having spent considerable time negotiating terms with Stripe on the basis that our CRM fully integrates. I am extremely disappointed to find out this is not the case. Please fast track this additional field requirement.
Quote number is vital to accounts for reconciliation. Without any quote number accounts team have to work out which transaction in stripe matches which quote by the amount and date, then check our accounting system for matching invoices. This adds another time-consuming step that has never been necessary before.
Stripe payments via the website put the basket ID into the description of the payment. We should do a similar thing for payments taken in the CRM. ACA suggested "Prospect Order 1234"

I agree with Dave, this process has actually increased the time it takes us to account for card payments.
