When creating a new opportunity it would be useful if the description field could be autogenerated. The benefit of this is that it is one less thing for users to complete.
Also an autogenerated field will be consistent and would be short and easy to search for within Prospect CRM.
The description is not a mandatory field. An option could be to populate the description field with the opportunity id and maybe prefix the opportunity id with text such as OPP. So the description would be OPP-1001 etc.
Another option could be to provide the user with a number of options that let them configure the format of the description field i.e. they get to select/ enter fields/text that makes up the opportunity description i.e. ID - Customer Name - Month - Year etc.
