Equipment Record - Auto-populate Manufacturer Warranty

When an equipment record is created it would be good if the manufacturer warranty field is auto-populated. There could be a system setting the determine how many months the manufacturers warranty is set to i.e. 12 months, 24 months etc.

The idea is that at the point when the equipment record is created the manufacturers warranty should then be set to that same date in 12 months ahead, i.e. if an equipment record is created on the 20/08/2021 the manufacturers warranty should be set to 20/08/2022.

The manufacturers warranty should remain editable in case a user wants to change in manually.

The benefit of auto populating the manufacturer warranty field is that:

It ensures that the field is populated

Reduces data entry from users

It reduces the chance of the wrong data being entered
