Adding restrictions to customer types so users can see certain types of customers but not others e.g. taking calls and adding notes when colleagues are OOO.
However if you are looking for some restrictions to groups of users rather than just the one account manager then there's a new feature for that. In the latest release, there is an option to restrict access by territory rather than by account manager. Obviously, if you want all reps to see all other customers, prices etc then that's the default behaviour (no record restrictions), and if you have record restriction turned on that can just be turned off. This would improve overall customer service levels if reps could see each others customers prices, when answering the phone.
