A customer who does not take card payments via the CRM would find it useful to have a system option to disable the CRM Quote ID from posting into the comments section on a sales order in Unleashed. They just use the sales order number to match the orders in both systems so don't require the CRM Quote ID as well in Unleashed.
Our requirements are simple on this one.
The customer sees the Quote number on their quote that is sent from Prospect. Therefore to match the order confirmation with their quote this is the number that needs to appear in the "quote reference" part of the doc designer.
The field is being pushed through as a "comment" why can't it be pushed through as a "Quote Reference" field that way when the customer recieves the Order confirmation it is clear which quote it refers too?
It would also be better to have just the quote refernce instead of the prefis "CRM ID:"
Having it in the comments restricts this field from being used as a comments box that we need for that functionality. It also means this reference is at the bottom of the last page and does not have anything for a customer know that it is a quote reference.
Allowing the customer to select if they would like this to be posted to the customer reference or quote number field on the sales order in Unleashed would allow the customer to have this reference showing in the place that would best suit their business needs. Customers may use the comments section on the order in Unleashed to specify details about the order, and therefore having the quote number show in this field may not always be beneficial.
