For specific notes for that customer that may get lost in the Activity notes section but need to be remembered for every call.
I can call a contact who may work part time on their day off, be told they're on their day off so i put it in the notes not to call on that day of the week. Many notes may be added and i won't necessarily look all the way down to see when their day off is from that past note. By having specific note available on the contact screen when making a follow up call this will be prevented.
