It would be useful to show goals by account manager within the account manager dashboard. Ideally within the "Orders" section. Showing Month to date orders as it currently shows against the set goal for the month.
Agree, it would also be really good to see on the Account Manager Dashboard under orders when you show "Orders this month", "Orders last month", then a percentage to goal/target. So each Account Manager will have an idea where they are as a percentage to their goal/target. It could also show this as a financial value based on the input in the goals section so for example, Orders this month £102,000/Goal £240,000.
This would be very beneficial to show daily sales vs monthly/yearly targets and having customizable targets for each month. I feel the current dashboard is close and can pull all this information however for better use the above dashboard to show how the company is tracking per day/month/year.
Hi. Thanks everyone for your comments. There will be an update to the Dashboards in due course but this is waiting on a number of things: - Some more people using the Goals system in preview and hopefully from that a better understanding of what goals people want to set and which are important to our users - Completion of the Enquiries and Web Forms feature, again with user feedback, as this (Lead and Enquiry generation / conversion) will almost certainly want to be on the dashboards too - but would i expect also want some goals setting and displaying on that dashboard. - We also think all this will make the dashboards bigger and more complex, so we are looking into how we might enable users to add/remove components, goals etc that they're not using.
But, in the meantime, we liked Peter's suggestion (thanks Peter!). So, in the release scheduled for January, we'll be making the Goals section in the Settings area visible to non-admins, but obviously read-only. The basic plan is something like:
- Let the goals screen be accessible to non admins
- System option to restrict goals to the user only (so you can decide whether users see just their goals or all goals)
- If a user has no visible goals, show a sensible message that there are no goals configured.
- Make sure customer-assigned goals are filtered using account manager & territory restrictions (so anyone with an account manager or territory restriction will only see goals for customers in their territory)
Hopefully that will make the Goals feature more useful in the short term, encourage more people to give it a try and thereby give us better feedback so that we can improve/finalise the feature and then move onto dashboarding this data.
As a Sales Tool for the Team, it is important they can monitor their performance against their target. On the dashboard you have in the top left hand corner a % against last month's sales figure but this is not a reflection on their performance to their yearly target. We need to be able to give access to the goals to the specific salesperson for their own area only but without giving them admin rights. The goals area can also be used to support KPI activities against specifically selected accounts etc.
It would be good if you could just make the goals visible to non admins in the menu. We don't want to have everyone as admins, so the vast majority of our business can't see the goals data currently...sort of makes the whole thing useless if only visible to admins!
I agree with the above section. It would be very useful for an account manager to have visibility around their own goal/s so they can see how they are progressing through the month. Currently only I can see it which isn't super useful as I am setting goals individually for my team to work on.
Thanks for the feedback. the Goals feature is in early preview but we'll certainly be looking at how to integrate these within the dashboards as we progress this feature set.

Having the current goals target line graph appearing on the current 12month dashboard widget would be perfect.
