When processing cards through the CRM, we would be looking for the information to integrate into Stripe clearly. As of right now, the quote ID and contact email of the customer who is making payment doesn't come into the Stripe transaction description.
We would be looking for the quote number to be written into the Stripe transaction description as well as the customers email to come through in the Stripe email field so it is easier to search for when looking back on transactions. This information will also help with reconciling payments by accounts.
We have a similar issue, we need as much customer information sent from Prospect to Stripe when a payment is taken. At the moment it does not bring across the Name, Billing Address, Delivery Address, Email, Phone or Cardholder Name.
We have the same issue which I've raised with Prospect.
We have the same issue. By default, it appears the system sends the quote description, not the quote ID. If no description exists it then chooses the quote ID.
You can see the quote ID in Stripe under meta when clicking on the individual transactions, however, it doesn't appear by default on the transactions report you can export. In order to see it, you need to click on the transactions line by line which is admin heavy.
For our web orders, there is never a quote description. It is therefore always blank at the point of taking the stripe payment online, so the quote ID shows on the report in Stripe.
The ideal improvement would be for the system to send the quote ID to Stripe by default and ignore the manually added quote description. This would really help the finance team match the payment to the quote quickly, rather than trying to search the CRM for what is effectively a bespoke quote description.
yes our accounts are struggling with this too. although the quote number would mean nothing to them they would need the SOR number or sales ledger code.
must be possible as noticed at the weekend moneysupermarket use stripe and they must have 1000's of transactions to allocate and would be impossible as it currently is.
Great idea to make linking payments to orders quicker
