It would be helpful to run basic reports on product mix based on magic matrix categories eg: % of product lines in each category, % of product sales by qty in each category, % of product sales by turnover in each category, number of new/discontinued product lines for each category (ie lines associated with the category added to the inventory in X to Y time frame/ made obsolete in X to Y time frame).
Reviewing and analysing product mix is a core part of marketing, and the CRM has all the data we need to assess this, but the reporting functionality isn't there to allow us to do this assessment.
