Don't autopopulate salutation field

Currently the salutation field is automatically populated with the contents of the first name field. There should be an option to not autopopulate the salutation field as sometimes users may want the salution to the the title of the contact i.e. Mr, Mrs etc and not their first name.

The documentation lacks a definition of what the salutation field is for, this definition seems to describe how it is used in PS:

    Salutation

    • a standard formula of words used in a letter to address the person being written to. "we would not expect a love letter to include a formal address and salutation"

It looks like a change to how the Salutation field is automatically populated was made in release V69 without explanation, the more formal "title and lastname" seems more appropriate?

“Updated salutation to be First Name (instead of title and last name) when using the social search feature of new record creation.”

but the help documentation was never updated to reflect this.

“Once these have been entered, the Salutation field will automatically populate with both the title and the surname, but this can be overwritten if required. This field can be useful to use when creating standard documents from the CRM, enabling you to populate your documents with key contact information.”

It would be helpful if the help entries were tagged with an accurate date it would be easier for users to spot out-of-date advice.
