Replies to emails sent from Prospect

When sending emails to customers out of Prospect and that person replies back, how do you keep the email trail going if that persons email doesnt automatically sync into prospect upon landing in Outlook. I used SAGE a few years ago and it did exactly that. You could see the email trail.
