In Prospect's Quoting system, when one enters a SKU that has the same prefix as other SKUs, the system goes into 'search' mode and displays a range of SKUs from which one can select the appropriate product (even if one enters an entire - and unique - SKU).
To compound the error, the SKUs displayed are not listed in any apparently logical order - certainly NOT the alpha-numeric order one would reasonably expect to be presented with. This can make searching for products to include on a quotation an abnormally protracted business.
Other systems (such as the Unleashed stock-control system, from which Prospect draws the relevant pricing data for our quotations) DO list the SKUs in a logical, alpha-numeric order.
