When creating a quote directly under an opportunity, the creation modal now shows a prompt to use a "Simple Quote" instead. Not all customers use the Simple Quote feature and do not want their users to have the option to create Simple Quotes.
There should be a toggle to disable this prompt so those who do not want their users to have this option can prevent them from clicking to convert to a simple quote.
please add ability to disable the "Use Simple Quote" prompt - we require opportunities and quotes to be separate items and not combined into one object
I think it is important to understand that a "Simple Quote" is underneath simply an Opportunity and Quote. So, the data created is identical to that created when you dont use Simple quote.
The only difference is the user interface where the quote and opportunity data is displayed on a single screen. This avoids users having to switch between quote and opportunity screens to see (for example) product lines and prices on the quote screen, and notes and activity on the opportunity screen. The "simple quote" screen combines all of that data into one simple and efficient user interface.
This combined screen is only suitable when creating a single quote under an opportunity (doesnt work for multiple quotes per opportunity). However looking at user data, that's less than 0.1% of all quotes being generated!
