Dashboard orders only has comparison against last month which isn't always best option when business has seasonal fluctuations. Equivalent month last year or against goal revenue loaded into goals would be a better measure.
Thanks for the suggestion. We do have a goals feature but to be honest it has never been fully developed. We are returning to that topic soon though. Look out for the upcoming "Growth Engine" feature - that measures sales order trends over a longer period of time and will eventually include more goal-setting and measurement against revenue, customer acquisition, average order value, etc goals.
