Like every company I know we put an asset tag on each machine that goes out. This has our contact details, and a unique number which stays with that machine. In equipment I would like there to be a searchable field called Asset Tag so we can search for the asset by the Asset Tag number quickly in the global search. Problems can then be assigned to the relevant equipment by searching for the asset tag number. Further we use your Zapier app to link a helpdesk ticket to the machinery by the asset tag. If this is not possible make a custom field searchable in the equipment section.
