Some forms that customers have in their v6 crm contain fields that are a list dropdown. Currently to achieve this the drop down list must be converted to a view and then a foreign key must be set up so that the CRM converts it to a dropdown.
If we had a component that took a report and converted it to a dropdown, mapping the fields to an object when an item is selected then we would not have to spend the time converting the drop down list to a view. We could just write a report, just like how these were created in infomaker.
