There is a system option to control whether users can edit notepad entries. with options for Yes/No/Admin-only. But, what would make the most sense is an option that allows users to only edit their own - not only should we offer this option, but i think it makes the most sensible default for anyone who hasnt chnaged the setting (i.e. make this the default for new migrations and new sign-ups).
i.e.
Allows edit for notepad entries. 0: disable 1:enable 2: admin
plus, 3 = admin can edit any, and users can only edit their own notes (DEFAULT)
Hi Brett - It actually means it has been coded, tested and released. You may not see it for a few weeks though as we upgrade customers in waves, or rings...
What does "status shipped" mean? Does that mean its going to be implemented?
Please go with it!!
I am 99% confident there is an option that controls this... but I have to admit that I cannot find it either... we'll get someone to investigate. More options might be useful but I'm sure the basic options do already exist...
Agree with the flexibility option, this will help management.
Completely agree with Paul. All edits should be timestamped and with user details too. Need to ensure traceability for any actions undertaken.
As there is currently no option in settings to enable or disable edit notes, there is no control. A flexible option should be available by user with admin able to control and edit all notes. For all users a date / time stamp of edited notes should be mandatory.
