We would like our credit managers or other groups of users to add specific notes within the CRM. They will use problems but also add general notes. We would like to be able to segregate/filter those notes from other departments without having to tag the note or filter every time.
If notes could be dynamically filtered by user group, with the filter persisting then each department could easily narrow / widen their scope as they chose.
Several users have also requested filtering "my notes/All notes" see merged idea.
Other users have requested the ability to filter by activity type (esp emails vs notes)
So, users should be able to filter notes by user/user group, or by type on an ad-hoc basis also, in a similar way to how tag filtering currently works.
Sometimes users would also just want to filter and see status changes, so this should be one of the activity types you can filter by too
This should persist as you move around ... but it should be clear that the activity stream is filtered, and it should easy to clear the filters so that you see everything again.
We are planning to overhaul the user groups/dictionaries functionality to instead be "Teams". We will consider this enhancement alongside that idea too.
We've started to plan a feature to hopefully allow the filtering of the notes/activity stream by user, user group, activity type and date range...
Ideally you would be able to check mark next to each "team" whose notes you wish to see. this would allow flexibility. The example i am thinking of is: As a sales staff member wants to only see credit control notes.
this is similar to another suggestion for being able to filter to "my notes" / "all notes" (https://prospect365-ideas.ideas.aha.io/ideas/PS365-I-5) . In this case, doing that same feature but allowing filtering to "my notes" / "my team" / "all notes" would seem to do the job. A bit more flexibility would be added if the user could choose from a list of users, or a list of teams to include.
Great idea Jethro.
