Rather than having to do a full quote, have a "quick quote" button on division or contact or lead.
I think this is a good suggestion (originally from PEB) just as an "instant" way to demonstrate our integration without having to get into formal quoting etc. But I also think a lot of users actually would use this too - I think lots want to be able to just quickly look up a price without having to record a formal quote.
The basic idea is this: press "quick quote" and then in memory (on screen but not creating a quote record in database) allows you to find products, and give a verbal quote (by entering qty, but again just in memory not in a quote), This would effectivey be like a MLOE screen with a search, paginated list of products, and assuming the user doesnt enter a qty, show the price based on qty of 1. Allow the user to change the qty to get a different price if required.
And, as an (optional or phase II) final, finishing touch ... having done this quick verbal price i might want to say to the customer "do you want one of those?" and if so be able to click a "create a quote/order" button that takes everything you have done in memory and sends it to an actual quote and loads the quote window
NPS feedback from a customer was to have a quick quote button on a customer record tobe able to search for a product and give them the price to them. At the moment they have to create a quote to do this.
