When you set the setting for sending yourself a copy of an email from within the CRM currently it BCCs you in on the email. What you actually need is for it to send the same email but from a different address. Because you have to set a rule in Outlook to save these to your sent folder but this then puts other emails into the sent folder if someone emails you from the CRM. If it was a different email address you can set a rule in outlook for that separate address which will stop legitimate emails being put into your sent folder.
I discussed with MLC and agreed this is probably the best option rather than having a complex set of rules to try and solve this.
