Due dates are extremely important for us and we spend a lot of time looking at long lists of due dates. when a list is interspersed with different formatting it makes it very difficult to read.
Whilst I can see some businesses might like this function and it is very clever, for some customers it is not appropriate.
The CRM has been updated to allow a user to change the default way dates are displayed throughout. A user can change this via the "About Me" option in the CRM.
This update will be rolled out to customers over the next few weeks.
Yes Andrew, your suggestion below would be an excellent ointment for our pain, bring it on!
I can see some users wanting to see some dates in a traditional format. But, if we dont want to add a system or user option to do this globally, maybe we could provide this option as part of being able to specify formatting for fields - something that we have already discussed/planned ... this would allow users to change this on a report-by-report basis.
If you then wanted to see actual dates in a lists/report of order due dates or product next available dates, you could change the field formatting option, and then save the new report definition for yourself or for everyone.
