It was really useful in the Desktop CRM when you could see all the notes that had come under a division, whether it be from a sales lead, or lots of differing contacts. When making a sales call you could just click onto the division and get an overarching view if someone had spoke to people at that company recently and what the outcome was quickly.
Currently when searching for a company to make a sales call you have to look into their contacts and check through each contact to see if someone had recently spoke to them or not. Sometimes we have 10+ contacts for a company and it can be quite tedious clicking through each one only to see they spoke to someone a couple months ago and aren't interested in CRM.
During demonstrations of the software, prospects have remarked to me how it would be useful to click onto a division and see all the notes associated with the division as well.
