Ability to change Save to CRM default record

At the moment, users can't change change the default in the search facility. Currently, it's set to an Opportunity, but having the flexibility to change this to e.g. Contact would speed up the process of finding and saving the email.
Generally when saving email to the CRM it is saved against a contact. Having 'Opportunity' as the default search criteria means having to change this to 'Contact' everytime adds an unnecessary step in the process. Users should be able to choose their own default search criteria.
Or, use something like the CRM search where you can search multiple record types and turn off the ones you rarely use.
