If by error a company has been added to the system more than once, has more or different contacts associated with the duplicated company, simply having the ability to merge the companies and select one of them as the "parent" for the name would be great.
The undocumented delete then add to parent solution for this is pretty sparse and obtuse solution. A true merge is a critical feature to keep data sets clean. The merge should allow the user to select which fields of both records to keep and merge into a single contact. Yes, this is tricky, but it's a pretty solved problem in most CRMs.
This is really frustrating not being able to merge companies when there are duplicates is usually a standard feature in system.
This would be highly beneficial for us, as we have many duplicates and finding all the activity can be tricky.
Due to it being in two separate places!
This would be useful for a lot of situations, especially if the activity notes could be copied over or linked to in some way. A much neater way of handling duplicates and/or a prospect which has been imported again once becoming a customer in Unleashed.
